Get started with Avius.
Prepare the site, install the plugin, and verify a small read-only request before asking your agent to change anything.
Before you install
You need a WordPress installation that permits plugins, an administrator account, a current backup, and an AI client with a compatible MCP connection. The current development specification targets WordPress 6.9 or later and PHP 8.0 or later; check the published release requirements when downloading.
Use HTTPS for a remote connection. A cloud-based client cannot reach a site that exists only on your computer at localhost. Local development needs a connection route your chosen client can actually reach.
Install the official release
In WordPress, open Plugins, choose Add New Plugin, and use Upload Plugin to select the Avius ZIP. Install and activate it. Open Avius in the admin navigation and review the available connection settings.
Use the official download for the edition you intend to install. Keep a copy of the previous release and your backup before updating.

Use the endpoint and setup instructions shown inside your own Avius installation. The correct authorization method depends on the client. Complete the WordPress authorization flow or configure the supported credential method.
Do not guess an endpoint from an unrelated MCP plugin. Different connectors use different routes.

Ask the agent: “List the active plugins and identify the page builder. Do not change anything.” Confirm that the returned information matches your site.
If the agent connects but no tools appear, check which abilities are enabled and consult the troubleshooting guide. Once the read-only check works, try one small change on a draft or staging page.
